First, determine the type of booster pump according to the pressurizing medium. For example, the supercharging medium is air / nitrogen, we choose in the air / nitrogen supercharger; the turbocharger is the gas, we choose it in the gas supercharger; the supercharging medium is the liquid, and we choose it in the pneumatic liquid supercharger pump.

Second, initially determine the type of pump according to the pressure required by the system. Generally, the driving pressure of the SC pneumatic booster pump is less than 7bar. So, the turbocharging is more than Ratio=Po/Pa. Among them, Po is the output pressure of the system; Pa is the driving pressure of the pneumatic pump, and generally takes the maximum value of 0.7MPa. According to the calculated supercharging ratio, the model is selected in the corresponding pump table. Note that we usually choose a pump with a supercharged ratio slightly higher than the calculated value to ensure that our pump normally outputs the pressure required by the system. Third, check whether the pump flow meets the system requirements. When we initially select the type of pump according to the outlet pressure of the pump, we need to check whether the flow rate of the pump is satisfied. The calculation method of pump flow is this: the displacement frequency per minute is 40 times per minute. For example, the pneumatic liquid booster pump 10-4000W003, we find in the pump table that it is 42.50ml per stroke, then its flow is Q=q * n=42.50ml * 40=1700ml/min=1.7L/min. Compare the flow with the flow of the system to see if it meets the requirements.

If the flow is not enough, then we choose a pump with a supercharged ratio and a relatively large flow rate, and calculate the flow until the system flow requirements are met. Note that the flow we say refers to the flow under normal pressure, and the volume of the medium (liquid or gas) which is pressurized by the pump (liquid or gas) will be measured in the atmospheric pressure in 1 minutes. So for gas, we need to consider the magnitude of the pre pressure.
